Main Responsibilities:
The candidate will be tasked with developing automated test to validate product performance at production-line assembly and system-verification stages, along with data collection/analysis tools. Responsibilities will include: Providing design-for-test analysis, defining test-requirements and test-coverage analysis. Translating requirements into volume-capable automated test-solutions utilising appropriately designed hardware configurations, fixtures and software-control via Labview, TestStand and TCL/Python scripting.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications required:
• Experience of DFT analysis and test-requirements generation with engagement from the start of the product design-cycle
• Working knowledge of optical systems- helpful
• Working knowledge of ICT required
• Experience in specifying and developing functional-test fixturing solutions in tandem with 3rd party contractors
• Working knowledge of JTAG techniques desirable.BE, or BSc required (MSc preferred) Electronic Engineering 3 or more years of designing and successfully delivering automated test solutions
• Experience in evaluating test coverage and designing test processes for embedded systems and/or networking products containing high speed digital circuitry
• Experience with test automation instruments, tools and methodologies. Controlling and communicating with test-instrumentation via RS232/GPIB/Telnet etc with programming experience in Labview, TCL, Python and good working knowledge of TestStand
• Experience of networking technologies/protocols and physical interfaces
• Track record in support of NPI test process and assisting Engineering with Prototype build.
Technical Skills:
Production-test and test-tool development for high-speed telecoms and photonic based products. Programming languages required include LabView, and scripting languages (Python, TCL).
Interpersonal Skills:
Experienced self-starter who can drive activities to successful completion.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with cross functional teams and leadership capabilities.
Highly motivated individual with a strong desire to work and excel in a start up environment.
