OTHER VOICES SELLS OUT IN SECONDS, BUT FANS NEED NOT DESPAIR!

VIRTUAL FESTIVAL TO BROADCAST LIVE PERFORMANCES TO 7 DINGLE VENUES IN WORLD FIRST

Other Voices has sold out! Tickets for the Dingle festival sold out within seconds of being offered for sale on www.tickets.ie and those lucky fans who managed to bag a seat in St. James’ Church must now wait to find out who will be performing for them! Having announced a raft of top acts last week, Other Voices can now reveal that Everything, Everything, Anna Calvi and James Vincent McMorrow have also been confirmed to make the trip to Kerry.

But all is not lost for those who didn’t manage to bag a golden ticket! This year, for the first time ever, Intune Networks, will undertake a world first by providing nightly live high definition screenings of all the action from St. James’ Church to seven venues across Dingle. Music lovers will still be able to take part in the Other Voices recordings and enjoy each and every performance from the comfort of a nearby barstool, pint in hand – a ‘one-up’ on the churchgoers, who must wait ‘til post show to enjoy a refreshment or two in one of the many fine hostelries in Dingle!

Other Voices will take place from Saturday December 4th to Tuesday December 7th and already confirmed to appear are The National, Jarvis Cocker (Pulp), Richard Hawley, Marina and The Diamonds, Laura Marling, Smoke Fairies, Cathy Davey, And So I Watch You From Afar, The Minutes and O Emperor. Wednesday December 8th will see the closed recording of the IMRO Other Room, where the Irish Music Rights Organisation will showcase some of Ireland’s brightest new music talent including Jennifer Evans, Lisa O’Neill, Planet Parade and General Fiasco.

The breathtaking fishing village, one of Ireland’s most popular destinations for travellers from across the world, boasts a huge array of accommodation to suit all needs and budgets and during Other Voices week, Dingle is awash with musicians and music lovers alike, all soaking up the special festival atmosphere. The brilliant vibe in Dingle this winter will be hugely heightened thanks to Intune Networks live multi venue screenings, so fans should make their travel plans without delay and you never know which of your musical heroes you might bump into while tucking into the morning fry-up! Intune Networks live screenings will be held in Benners Hotel, Foxy John's, McCarthy's, Currans, Adams and Geaney's, while fans will be able to watch all the performances via WiFi streaming on their phones and laptops in all the venues plus Ashes Bar and Restaurant, all on the main street in Dingle.

John Dunne, Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Intune Networks said, “We are really excited about using Intune’s technology in a world first to make Other Voices, Ireland’s first true virtual festival.      As an Irish company whose world beating technology was conceived and developed in Ireland, we are very proud to roll it out to multiple venues for the first time ever in Dingle at Other Voices.”

Always forward thinking, willing to embrace new ideas and adapt to changing times, Other Voices production company, Southwind Blows, have taken a fresh and energised approach to the area of partnerships this year.
