The successful candidate will be an open and enthusiastic engineer/scientist, with a strong personal interest in engineering and photonics at the highest level, willing to share experiences and learn from a talented employee pool. The successful candidate will exhibit a strong curiosity sense on deep technical matters, an eagerness to understand, develop and control complex issues so as to deliver engineerable solutions to real world photonics problems. We are actively seeking a scientist/engineer with experience in designing and developing fibre-optic communication systems. A strong background in fibre optics telecommunication and a proven ability to innovate both at a team and individual level.
Working within a cross functional environment, the candidate needs to exhibit a desire to influence and work with other engineering functions to achieve personal and company goals.

• Ideate, develop, execute/support laboratory investigations and experiments.
• Contribute in developing and analyzing optical communication systems, as well as the subsystem employed in the build of such systems.
• Contribute in cross validation of modeling results against experimental results.
• Develop and execute laboratory test plans in the following areas: fibre channel performance, fault management.
• Interface with vendors on requirements, specifications, and design reviews.
• Contribute to proposals with designs, cost estimates, and technical write-ups.
• Adherence and development of in house development processes
