Intune has a requirement for experienced FPGA design engineers to specify, design, implement, verify and validate complex digital designs operating at high speeds with the latest FPGA technologies and work flow tools. The successful candidate will be involved with all aspects of the design lifecycle, within a complex systems development. This role represents a great opportunity for a candidate to work in an innovative and expanding engineering team, and to help develop the FPGA team. Experience, skills and qualifications required:
Experience of designing and successfully delivering high performance FPGA designs
A minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience and a degree in an engineering discipline.
Expert level proficiency with VHDL
Expert level proficiency with design of complex digital systems.
Technical Skills
Have been responsible for completing several designs from initial requirements analysis, through to silicon validation.
Experienced with the latest Xilinx hardware platforms and associated tools.
Scripting languages (TCL, Perl, Python, Make) and design automation.
Process driven and experience in developing and influencing methodologies.
Interpersonal Skills
Highly motivated individual with a strong desire to work and excel in an innovative design environment.
Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills with rapid cross-functional issue resolution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to work and communicate well across functional groups.
Demonstrable team working and communications skills.
A track record of on time delivery of quality work.
Quick learner with proactive work attitude.
Desirable Skills
Experienced with the SystemVerilog, Constrained Random Verification and VMM a plus
Experience working on telecommunication network designs is a plus
Experienced with packet processing FPGA designs a plus
A high level of understanding of common L1-L2 Networking protocols and their hardware implementations is preferred
Experience of interworking between remote design sites a plus.
Validation and system bring-up experience preferred
